I go not have great hopes for it because it has a VIA chipset (its an 800mhz c3!)
if it does not work i will get an intel based one. it just has to have 1 pci slot, and a modest CPU.
the CPU is not actually used for much with scope, all the processing takes place on the card itself.
a have 3 of their boards in another computer, and the SDK, so i will be doing most of the "guts" of the circuit in DSP.

I plan on using a 1U 15" Deep ATX made for Dual MINI-ITX mobo's. The newest J & W MINI ITX's called MINIX are going to be the choice for the XITE-1. It will be a dual streaming 1U because of the VE Pro VST 3.0 host that can use Gigabit LAN for MIDI & Audio. No need for soundcard, Video card or MIDI I/O. I can't see the VIA chipset being compatable, especially with a TYPE I Pulsar card. But I wish you luck. I can say that I have seen the 785G / 790GX chipsets w/ AMD Phenoms working well on uATX's. That's why I am wanting to look at the J & W MINIX.
ReplyDeleteYour project looks cool so I am linking up to this site.

ReplyDeleteIt does not have a PCI slot. i got a shuttle korporate kube for $75 and it would work, im using that one for my CNC mill though.
ReplyDeleteill see if one gos on sale again.
this thing cant even boot to windows XP properly, i do not think it has a chance.
ReplyDeleteOne possible consideration is the overall length of the PCI lines coming off the motherboard through the extra length added by the 90deg. adapter - because I'm not sure if/how this might effect the Pulsar functionality.
ReplyDeletePCI spec. is pretty strict about overall PCI bus signal lengths.
